About the Artist
It is difficult to say what came first, my interest for nature or my interest for painting. All I know is that I have always been painting, and always enjoyed nature.
I grew up on a small farm in Hvaler, south-eastern Norway, close to the forest and the sea. From an early age I spent hours painting and sketching almost every day, and my technical training comes from this interest in depicting just what I see. I have never taken a course in art, or gone to any art school, I have just been painting.
The last years, I have combined the life as an illustrator and painter with biology studies at Lund University. I produce illustrations and texts for books, magazines and National Parks, as well as private commissions and own projects. I regularly exhibit my paintings in Sweden, Norway or Denmark
