Cliff Kibuuka
Cliff Kibuuka (b.1980) is a Ugandan artist based in Norway and has been practicing art professionally since 2005. He has persistently continued to work with oil colors applied applied on canvas. Over the years, he has developed a distinctive style of painting using a palette knife which has made him a household name on the East-African art scene. He displays an array of sharp strokes, shapes, textures and vibrant colors that have become synonymous with his art. His work carries a well-balanced mix of myth, illusion and reality of everyday landscape and scenery. Looking at his work challenges the viewer to start looking at their daily surroundings with an added degree of appreciation.Most of his work is inspired by his childhood life in Africa and has now added European interpretations to his repertoire
Cliff holds a Bachelors degree in Industrial and Fine Art from Makerere University. (Kampala – Uganda) Recently, Cliff has moved to Norway and has now established his new studio on the outskirts of Oslo.
