About the Artist

I have always been into arts and even from my childhood I was quite an artistic personality. When I was a teenager for three years I attended the art school in Palanga (Lithuania) yet I found it too formal and uninspiring. Despite that, art always remained a part of me just waiting for an opportunity to manifest itself at the least expected moment and in the least expected form even to me.

After 17 years of work experience in politics I became a professional artist and at the moment I live in Belgium (Grez-Doiceau), in a beautiful place surrounded by nature.

I could describe myself as a fine art painter, basically using oil painting techniques. My desire is to make my paintings speak for themselves evoking feelings and emotions in viewers.

I deeply believe that that art has a healing power and it can serve not only aesthetics itself but also higher purposes of humanity.

My artistic message is hidden in symbiosis of human and nature (eg sky, trees, birds, animals etc), its roots and beauty. I think that today more than ever before we should strive to reconnect with nature. That is why in my paintings nature plays symbolic, aesthetic and healing roles. I see it as a powerful tool to talk to people, to help them see this world as a better place to live, create and share love.

To become an artist, I had to engage in so many different activities during my life including obtaining three university degrees without any connection to art. Today though I think that it was perhaps necessary for my inner growth, artistic maturity and authenticity. That was definitely not the straightest or shortest path but now I know clearly that it is my true path.
