Ahmad Mallah / @s.t.a.t.e.l.e.s.s

Ahmad Mallah is the first artist we would like to introduce you to. His paintings and drawings are enshrouding the viewer in an atmosphere of the unpleasant.

And just exactly the unpleasant, we need if we want to understand how human psyche can be in deep suffering.

As a Palestinian, born and raised in Syria, and now based in Amsterdam Ahmad has therefore experienced the world’s brutality first hand as a refugee – a consequence of the war in Syria.

He carries with him a bachelor’s in Fine Arts from the art school AKV|St. Joost in Breda.

It’s an honor to have Ahmad with us at Art Nordic 2022.

Rimvydas Pupelis aka MUTA / @art_muta

Here’s MUTA from Lithuania MUTA works as a professional painter.

It’s easy to get dragged in by his artwork that’s turning characteristics of mostly real-life models into his abstract cubistic style.

Rather than depicting people as they seem to the photo-realistic eye, his focus is on capturing the moment and the spirit of the human he’s painting.

His creations are colorful, playful, and full of life and irony.
