The curators
We’ve appointed the curators for Art Nordic 2026
– and their choices shape the whole experience
For Art Nordic 2026, we are creating a curated total experience under the theme “Phoenix – art in motion”. With four strong curator profiles – Ole Winther, Sophus Bang, Loa Brix and Michael Wisniewski – we are joining forces across art forms and formats. The result will be a sensory, inclusive and agenda-setting art fair in Terminal 13, Nordhavn: 80-100 artists, over 10,000 guests and 5,000 m² of installations, intimate meetings and digital experiments – inside and out.
That’s why a curated Art Nordic
We take Art Nordic from exhibition to experience. A curatorial team ensures:
- Sharpened artistic direction across media, genres and scale.
- Public communication with active involvement and strong encounters between art and people.
- Collaboration and visibility across culture, business and urban spaces so that the works live on after the fair.
Meet the curators 2026

Ole Winther – Curator
Public Affairs Director, HAVE Communication
With almost two decades of management experience from central government and a broad national and international network, Ole brings cultural policy insight, strategic overview and partnership strength to Art Nordic. He has worked with the operation and development of the country’s cultural institutions, is active in ICOM and is known as an expert voice in both Jyllands-Posten and P1.
This means for 2026: A program with artistic quality, audience involvement and cultural relevance that positions Art Nordic as an internationally oriented art fair in the heart of Copenhagen.

Sophus Bang – Curator of furniture & lighting
Designer
As an award-winning designer (including IF and Pentawards) and with 17 years of experience from Bang & Olufsen collaborations, Sophus combines industrial finesse with poetic functionality. From “Denmark’s next classic” to his own studio, he has shown how light, materials and form can create long-lasting ideas.
For 2026, this means furniture and lighting curation that weaves design, art and technology together – creating spatial settings where audiences experience aesthetics, innovation and sustainable thinking side by side.

Loa Brix – Curator
Former co-owner/owner of Art Nordic, strategic advisor
Loa returns with a keen eye for communication and audience journeys. With a background as a department manager, CMO, VP of climate organization, and serial entrepreneur, she has spent six years helping +25 companies turn purpose into measurable results. She is a sought-after speaker at the intersection of art, technology (AI) and human creativity.
For 2026, this means: A clear narrative, clear audience entrances and formats that make art not only seen – but felt and remembered.

Michael Wisniewski – Curator of Street Art & Urban Formats
Manager and artist, Murkunst.dk
Michael heads Murkunst.dk and is recognized for 3D freestyle (improvised) graffiti with 32 years of experience, 7 championships and 2 records – and 12 years as a business leader. As a self-taught artist, he masters perspective, depth and light/shadow, and his work ranges from gable paintings to spatial decorations. He has also taught for 15 years and currently leads specialized courses from his studio in Lyngby.
For 2026, this means large-scale works, live processes and urban impacts that draw the audience into the creation of the works and connect the fair with the city before, during and after opening.
What you can expect at the show
That’s why a curated Art Nordic
- Curated tracks: From monumental installations to intimate encounters and digital experiments – all tied together by “Bird Phoenix”.
- Sensory spaces: Light, sound, materials and narratives that enhance the presence of the works.
- Meeting across: Artists, designers, institutions, partners and audiences in active formats where conversation and creation are at the center.
Terminal 13, Nordhavn – raw framework, new perspectives
In the industrial halls (formerly Docken) we unfold art on 5,000 m² inside and out. The raw surroundings become a stage for renewal, inclusion and curiosity – a phoenix rising in motion.
