Here you can meet five of this year’s exhibitors at Art Nordic 2022. The countdown to the last weekend in June has started

Majid Hoseini / #artmaho

Majid Hoseini, who engages in a wide range of styles and motifs, works with both pen and paint, which results in two very different expressions.

In keeping with his playful expression, Majid is recognized for his award-winning social realist paintings and his innovative blue-toned pencil drawings made on newspaper pages.

You can look forward to experiencing his diverse range of art, which is completely unique when it comes to showing us the different sides of what it means to be human. It applies whether it’s about showing the beauty of the body, telling us the stories that the face hides, or whether he wants to show us the soda of emotion.

We hope you will enjoy Majid’s art at Art Nordic 2022.

Friska Ginting / #friskabrginting

When it comes to telling good stories, it is obvious to highlight Balinese Friska Ginting, who has made Copenhagen her hometown.

With an education in art and design, and a lifelong passion for art, both as a performer and teacher, Friska is a master at telling stories with plenty of room for interpretation in a surrealistic form of expression.

To use her own words, she wants her audience to hear the paintings speak, for they are full of secrets.

Many of her works contain nature, and especially tropical elements. It can shine through both as shapes, colors, shapes.

Emma Harrysson / #emma.harrysson

Meet Swedish Emma Harrysson.

Whether it’s a girl waiting for someone on the train, a human being sipping lazily for her tea, or friends lovingly holding each other’s hands by the sea, Emma manages to fill our minds with the very special atmosphere of the situation. We are being transported to the moment at once.

Allow yourself to dream away and let your mind wander! Emma’s works are done in a characteristic style on canvas with acrylic and ink, which shows craftsmanship.

We sincerely encourage you to visit Emma’s booth.

Gabriella Kauffmann / #gabriella_kauffmann

Gabriella Kaufmann meets us with an abstract and material-focused style, with which she plays with net material and color.

In a world where we often forget to look at how things are actually connected, Gabriella’s works of art are a very relevant opportunity to let thoughts move in a reflective direction.

Structure, systems, squares. It all carries deep meaning all the while opening up a canvas of interpretation. Last but not least, her style has an aesthetic appeal that is hard to overlook. With Gabriella’s art you get stimulated both senses and thoughts!

Gabriella Kaufmann meets us with an abstract and material-focused style, with which she plays with net material and color. The result is unique, alluring and very very beautiful.

She gives her viewer the key word that one should keep in mind when meeting her art, and it’s easy to see why.

In a world where we often forget to look at how things actually connect and reason, Gabriella’s works of art are a very relevant opportunity to let thoughts move in a reflective direction.

One Foot in Reality Gallery / #onefootinreality

The Danish artist couple, Karen Vesterager and Jacob Surland go by the name One Foot in Reality. We really enjoyed having them as exhibitors last year, and are really happy that they will be with us again. They prefer that their photo works be accessed as if they were paintings.

One Foot in Reality moves on the border between the real and the unreal, showing us the world we know, shrouded in a shadow cloth and supersaturated colors.

It results in an interesting clash between the documentary and the surreal. You should indulge yourself in the experience of how these two award-winning artists take in the elements that we know from the real world, change it, and make it their own.

We love it. Take, for example, a look at this picture from Copenhagen Central Station. Neon, train tracks and high-rise buildings. All drawn in the direction of the strange and unreal.

How often can you meet the artist of a piece you adore or get inspired by something remarkable? Art Nordic 2022 is the perfect opportunity to capture the artist yourself for a talk about art, culture and creativity, and not least to get an authentic and unique work for your home.

See you at Art Nordic!

About Art Nordic

Art Nordic 2022 is hosted June 24-26, 2022 in Lokomotivværkstedet, our venue, in the heart of Copenhagen.

Art Unites

Art Nordic is the largest sales- and art fair in the Nordic Region. Every year we’re celebrating art in the company of 250 artists, and more than 10.000 visitors at Lokomotivværkstedet.

Every morning, we get out of bed to make art accessible, and to enable the artists’ interaction with a broader audience. All that we do point toward strengthening the essential role of art in our democracy, society, and most important, humanity.

Through art, we are granted unique access to our fellow humans’ emotions and perceptions of the world. Art stimulates our empathy, creativity, and intelligence. Art is indispensable, as it inspires us to reflect upon our contemporary tragedies and triumphs. It is a space where we can create the future, together.
