The curators
– for Art Nordic 2026
We have selected the curators for Art Nordic 2026
– and their choices shape the art experience
For Art Nordic 2026, we are creating a curated, all-encompassing experience under the theme “Phoenix Bird – art in motion”. With four strong curator profiles — Ole Winther, Sophus Bang, Loa Brix and Michael Wisniewski — we are joining forces across art forms and formats. The result will be a sensory-rich, inclusive and agenda-setting art fair at Terminal13, Nordhavn: 80–100 artists, more than 10,000 guests and 5,000 m² of installations, intimate encounters and digital experiments — spread across outdoor and indoor areas.
Why a curated Art Nordic
We elevate Art Nordic from exhibition to experience. A curatorial team ensures:
- A sharper artistic direction across media, genres and scale.
- Audience-focused communication with active involvement and strong encounters between art and people.
- Collaborations and visibility across culture, business and urban space, so the works live on after the fair.
Meet the curators 2026

Why a curated Art Nordic
Founder and head of design at Sophus Bang ApS Founder and head of design at Bang & Jensen Lab
As an award-winning designer (incl. IF and Pentawards) and with 17 years of experience from Bang & Olufsen collaborations, Sophus combines industrial finesse with poetic functionality. From “Denmark’s Next Classic” to his own studio, he has shown how light, materials and form can create long-lasting ideas.
This means for 2026: Furniture and lighting curation that weaves design, art and technology together — creating spatial stagings where the audience experiences aesthetics, innovation and sustainable thinking side by side.

Ole Winther — Curator
Public Affairs Director, HAVE Kommunikation
With nearly two decades of management experience from central government and a broad national and international network, Ole brings cultural policy insight, strategic overview and partnership strength to Art Nordic. He has worked with the operation and development of the country’s cultural institutions, is active within ICOM, and is known as an expert voice in both Jyllands-Posten and P1.
This means for 2026: A programme with artistic quality, audience engagement and cultural relevance, positioning Art Nordic as an internationally oriented art fair in the heart of Copenhagen.

Loa Brix — Curator
Former co-owner/owner of Art Nordic, strategic advisor
Loa returns with a sharp eye for communication and audience journeys. With a background as department head, CMO, deputy director in a climate organisation and serial entrepreneur, she has for six years helped 25+ companies turn purpose into measurable results. She is a sought-after speaker/moderator at the intersection of art, technology (AI) and human creative power.
This means for 2026: A clear narrative, clear audience entry points and formats that ensure the art is not only seen — but felt and remembered.

Michael Wisniewski — Curator for Street Art & urban formats
Director and artist, Murkunst.dk
Michael heads Murkunst.dk and is recognised for 3D freestyle (improvised) graffiti with 32 years of experience, 7 championships and 2 records — as well as 12 years as a business owner. As a self-taught artist, he masters perspective, depth and light/shadow, and his work spans from gable murals to spatial installations. He has also taught for 15 years and today leads specialised courses from his studio in Lyngby.
This means for 2026: Michael brings urban street art into Art Nordic and presents an art form that normally lives in the street space with the city’s pulse and a critical eye on society — here shown as finished works in the exhibition.
What you can expect at the exhibition

Terminal13, Nordhavn — raw surroundings, new perspectives
- In the industrial halls (formerly Docken), we unfold art across 5,000 m² of indoor and outdoor areas. The raw surroundings become a stage for renewal, inclusion and curiosity — a Phoenix Bird rising in motion.
