Since 2020, Loa Brix has been a key driving force in Art Nordic’s development—first as co-owner and later as sole owner. During this period, she has carried out a comprehensive digital transformation of the platform, professionalised the work with exhibitor relations, and made the fair more accessible to both artists and audiences. Now she is handing the responsibility over to new forces.
“For me, Art Nordic has never been just an art exhibition—it has been a meeting place where art and people have been allowed to meet without filters. A space where contemporary art has been made accessible, human, and present—both physically and digitally. Now the time has come to pass the baton on, and I am pleased to be able to hand the fair over to Lina Murel Jardorf, who has both the vision and integrity to carry the work forward,” says Loa Brix.
Art in motion—with the audience at the centre
With the takeover of Art Nordic, Lina Murel Jardorf steps into the role as the new person responsible for a fair that combines strong relationships, digital tools, and a growing audience. For many years, she has worked as a visual artist and curator and has a particular focus on the sensory and relational aspects of communicating art.
“Art Nordic must be a place where art is not only seen, but also felt and lived. Where you go home with new perspectives, inspiration for both the home, the collection, and your thoughts—and the desire to come back again,” says Lina Murel Jardorf.
Art Nordic 2026—new setting and strong formats
The next edition of the fair will take place 13–15 March 2026 at Terminal13 on Copenhagen’s harbourfront in Nordhavn—an industrial warehouse of 5,000 m² with high ceilings, daylight, and views over the Øresund.
Under the theme “Phoenix—art in motion”, Art Nordic 2026 will offer new audience formats and a curated exhibitor list of around 100 exhibitors. Among the planned formats are:
- Curated interior rooms, where art is integrated with furniture, textiles, and lighting
- Para-art zones for artists who break with norms and work outside the established field
- Live workshops and talks, where guests experience art being created live
- Experimental installations, inviting the audience to participate actively
The ambition is to create a fair where the boundaries between art forms, roles, and modes of experience are shifted—and where both professionals and first-time visitors feel invited in.
“Lina has both the experience, sensitivity, and artistic eye that it takes. She understands what Art Nordic stands for, and she brings new perspectives with her. That makes it very reassuring to hand the leadership over to her,” says Loa Brix.
